Job Summary
Provide high-quality, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, educating patients and families about procedures and perioperative care, managing preoperative medications and IV therapy, participating in surgical site verification and universal protocols, recognizing and responding to emergencies, delivering evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, applying the nursing process, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. The role requires continuous improvement in patient safety and workflow efficiency, with on-call duties during select non-business hours. Qualifications include ACLS within 90 days of employment and BLS within 30 days, RN license with an Associate Degree in Nursing, and the ability to educate patients and families about treatment and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days
- State RN license for New Hampshire or compact state
