Job Summary
Circulate independently on complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases while prioritizing multiple patient and physician needs to delegate and coordinate surgical team care. Deliver comprehensive perioperative assessments, planning, and individualized nursing interventions, evaluating effectiveness and modifying actions as required. Serve as a consultant and mentor to less-experienced personnel, teaching advanced clinical judgment and current surgical specialty techniques. Apply evidence-based practice to ensure care meets age-specific and clinical departmental scope needs while maintaining constant alertness and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year advanced surgical experience in Surgery
