Job Summary
CVOR Nurse providing perioperative care for cardiovascular surgical patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the health team; utilizes the nursing process and evidence-based practice; supports coordination of care, documentation and patient/family communication within the OR team.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited program
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
- ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service
- At least one (1) year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting (highly preferred)
