Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, and modify care plans based on nursing diagnoses and discharge needs. Collaborate with families, physicians, and the healthcare team to coordinate care, educate patients using teach-back methods, and facilitate referrals including palliative services. Administer medications safely via bar coding, round hourly with patient care technicians, and ensure accurate bedside shift reports. Lead patient care for assigned patients, direct support techs, and participate in unit huddles, quality initiatives, and peer reviews. Maintain EMR documentation, utilize Alaris pump guardrails, and adhere to evidence-based practices while preventing hospital-acquired infections.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois
- Bachelors of Science Nursing
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
