Job Summary
Execute tailored treatment plans and monitor vital progress to ensure optimal recovery outcomes for patients in the Cardiac Holding Recovery unit. Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams to align clinical specialists and therapies around a seamless, patient-centered experience. Advocate for patient safety by precisely carrying out physician orders and communicating real-time condition updates across the care team. Drive holistic discharge planning alongside healthcare partners to prepare patients and families for a smooth, safe transition home. This role requires a Registered Nurse with Indiana licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS proficiency, with ICU or ED experience preferred. The position involves rotating 4–9-hour shifts from 6:30am to 7pm daily at Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Evansville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency in bedside sedation
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ICU Stepdown, or Emergency Department (ED)
