Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Surgery role focused on providing high-quality nursing care for cardiothoracic patients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians during treatments and exams, preparing equipment, pre- and post-procedure patient care, recording vitals and medical information, coordinating appointment scheduling and admissions, maintaining supplies and medications, performing tests (audio, vision, spirometry), responding to patient inquiries, and ensuring adherence to safety, PPE, and isolation guidelines. The role supports the cardiovascular specialists in a Tampa, FL setting with a 8 AM–5 PM schedule and includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- 1+ professional nursing experience (preferred)
- Ability to work a 8AM-5PM shift and comply with hospital policies
- Experience in cardiothoracic or physician-office nursing (preferred)
