Job Summary

Independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans, implements, and evaluates interventions for safe and effective care. The Registered Nurse in the Cardiology Unit must meet specific training requirements and maintain certifications, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, AHA ACLS, and BLS. They are responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac and vascular ailments unit.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse License Or Current Registered Nurse License From A Compact State
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) Within 180 Days
  • AHA ACLS Within 120 Days
  • AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 30 Days
  • Cardiovascular Disease CEU Hours - 8 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Date
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Within 120 Days
  • RN Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due Date
  • Stroke CEU Hours - 4 Per Year Annually By Transcript Due Date

Additional Requirements

  • If No Experience As An Rn Or LPN In A Hospital Setting Or It Has Been More Than 5 Years Since Last Worked In A Hospital Setting, Nurses Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) Within 30 Days
