Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Cardiology/Cardiac Rehab/Heart Failure responsible for providing patient-centered nursing care per ANA standards in a cardiovascular inpatient setting. Functions include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care with the healthcare team, promoting health and patient education, and aligning practice with the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards. Emphasis on leadership, collaboration, effective communication, cultural competence, and ongoing professional development within a comprehensive cardiovascular unit network.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Experience in cardiovascular/nursing practice is valued
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
