Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Cardiology/Cardiac Rehab/Heart Failure role in the Cardiac ICU/stepdown units. Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervises non-RN personnel; serves as charge nurse and preceptor; collaborates with Healthcare Team; and delivers patient-family education. Requires current CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification (or within one month of hire). Responsibilities include neuro assessments, airway and ventilation care, post-operative and complex cardiac care, and adherence to the organization’s values and nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
