Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Cardiology/Cardiac ICU/Heart Failure responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care on a nursing unit; provides supervision of non-RN personnel; may serve as Charge Nurse and preceptor; delivers patient- and family-centered education and coordinates care across the healthcare team; demonstrates competency in neuro assessments, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator care, and advanced heart care procedures in units such as CTICU/VCU and stepdown ICU.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
