Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Cardiac Telemetry in a multi-location regional health system. Coordinates, implements, and plans nursing care; performs comprehensive assessments; develops individualized care plans; conducts patient teaching and discharge planning; ensures timely documentation; operates within unit-specific standards and demonstrates adaptability across Adult Med/Surg, Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology, and Emergency care environments. Requires Tennessee licensure, a nursing degree/diploma, and current BLS; additional unit-specific certifications (ACLS, NVCI, TNCC/PALS/ENPC, CCRN/CCP, ONS chemo/immunotherapy) within specified timeframes; ability to work in a 12-hour shift in a telemetry-focused setting.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; For float pool: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- For Adult Emergency Room: TNCC preferred; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Medical Surgical: at least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Emergency Room: at least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; ENPC or TNCC within 6 months
