Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry - Part Time Days

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner for cardiac telemetry patients. Performs comprehensive assessments, plans patient care, provides patient teaching, administers medications, and documents care. Maintains flexibility to support multiple units including 3rd floor telemetry, float pool, critical care, Oncology, Adult/Pediatric Emergency, and Pediatric Medical Surgical. Requires Tennessee nursing licensure, and certification timelines include BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months, NVCI within 6 months, with additional unit-specific certifications (ONS chemo/immunotherapy for Oncology; TNCC/PALS within 6 months for ER tracks; ENPC or TNCC for Pediatric ER). Demonstrates ability to work in a high-pressure hospital environment with patient populations ranging from adolescents to >99 years and to adapt to unit-specific requirements. Location: Rockvale, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire for 3rd floor telemetry and other units
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire for float pool, pediatric, and ER tracks
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year for Oncology (if applicable)
- TNCC/PALS within 6 months for ER tracks
- PALS within 6 months for pediatric tracks
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months for Pediatric Emergency Room
- 1+ year of emergency or pediatric experience preferred depending on unit
- General ability to perform standard nursing duties in various units
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 250 lbs with assistance
