Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac telemetry units using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver safe interventions. Monitor patient responses to treatment, revise care plans as needed, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of all clinical activities. Maintain legal and ethical standards while communicating effectively with patients, families, and providers during routine and emergency situations. Requires full-time night shifts with a valid RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BSN Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
- Must be available for FT nights
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
