Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Telemetry 5A unit (24-bed) responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team. Telemetry responsibilities include monitoring heart rhythms (EKG), blood pressure, and oxygen saturation; providing patient and family education; ensuring infection control and safety; participating in audits and performance improvement; and supporting life-saving interventions (CPR/code team). The unit emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and continuous learning, with a welcome bonus up to $35,000 and a 36-hour work week on daytime shifts. RN licensure and BCLS are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
Desired Qualifications
- RN license (state licensure and/or compact licensure)
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Cardiac telemetry experience (preferred)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (preferred)
- Ability to work 36 hours/week on days (7a-7p)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
- Perioperative and nursing-process proficiency
- Infection control and patient-safety knowledge
