Job Summary
Full-time Registered Nurse position in the Cardiac Surgery Unit focusing on patient care for stroke patients with cardiac co-morbidity. Requires BSN (preferred) and current RN licensure. 1-year experience in an acute care facility preferred, along with necessary certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state in which nurse will be practicing
- BLS at date of hire
- ACLS must be obtained within a standard grace period from hire or transfer
- NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or current enrollment in BSN program
- Specialty certification
- One year previous cardiac nursing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs
