Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols for patients on the Cardiac Stepdown Unit. Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to increase patient and family quality of life. Develop and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process, including collecting assessment data, determining diagnoses, and evaluating outcomes. Coordinate with inter-professional teams and educate patients and families on health promotion and comfort measures. Foster a healthy work environment by serving as a mentor to colleagues, students, and others. Maintain constant alertness while performing point of care testing as assigned. Work night shifts (7p-7a) with a scheduled weekly commitment of 36 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
