Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols by systematically evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and significant others to facilitate unique care plans. Use the nursing process to develop and implement plans of care, collect assessment data, determine nursing diagnoses, and evaluate patient outcomes. Develop assessment and management strategies based on physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions of human responses to health problems. Utilize leadership skills by coordinating with the inter-professional team to assess needs, set goals, and provide care. Educate patients and families on measures that promote, maintain, and restore health. Mentor nursing colleagues, students, and others to foster a healthy work environment. Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to ensure care is delivered based on patient age-specific and clinical needs. Perform point of care testing as assigned. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
