Job Summary
The Cardiac Rehab Nurse serves as a key member of the clinical team by providing nursing services to cardiac rehab patients, and by training and educating staff, clients, and families in cardiac rehab and healthcare management skills. This role includes medication management for residential and day treatment clients, consulting on medically related problems, and supporting the follow-through of care plans and programs. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., physical, occupational, and speech therapists, dietitians, and physicians) is emphasized to achieve improved patient outcomes in a neuro- and cardio-rehabilitation setting. Opportunities for growth include CBIS certification and advanced nursing expertise within the brain injury rehabilitation program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a state-accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Nevada
- Basic Life Saving certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in cardiac nursing with experience monitoring/supervising exercise therapy in a clinical setting
- Expertise and experience in implementing care plans in the areas of neuro and/or cardio rehabilitation
