Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac progressive care patients by monitoring rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses while administering medications and treatments with clinical judgment. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care, and document assessments accurately within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold patient safety practices and support Mercy's mission of service, dignity, and excellence. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in cardiac, telemetry, PCU, or critical care nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within a specified timeframe)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (if applicable to unit protocols)
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, high‐acuity environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
