Job Summary
Manage chest tubes, arterial lines, and cardiac drips while providing surgical site care and trach care for an 18-bed cardiac progressive care unit. Handle drains, tubes, and central lines for patients with heart failure, post-catheterization needs, and arrhythmias. Complete a 6-8 week orientation with a preceptor covering cardiac dynamics and critical care basics. Requires an active Indiana RN license, AHA BLS certification, and an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of one year of RN experience
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- more than two years of acute care experience
