Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Cardiac Pavilion, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Maintain duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including physical demands such as lifting 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Full-time, 36-hour week with 12-hour days (7:00am - 7:30pm). Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
