Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver age-appropriate care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment through privacy protection and professional behavior while participating in shared governance and peer review. Identify clinical priorities to improve patient outcomes and coordinate care services consistent with MUSC policies. Requires South Carolina or Compact RN license, AHA BLS certification, and ability to stand, lift equipment, and navigate clinical spaces. Schedule 8 weekly hours; PRN status.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina or Compact State RN License
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed
- Visual acuity and color perception
- Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
- Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care
- Mobility to navigate clinical environments
- Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Experience as a Registered Nurse
- Passion for cardiac care
