Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with cardiac and neuro conditions using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct care teams through delegation, coordinate patient transitions, and manage resources to ensure timely delivery of interventions. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians while providing education and referrals. Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to legal and ethical standards, and continuously revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and patient response. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and strong manual dexterity for equipment operation and patient transfers.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
  • Degree will be verified
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
  • Obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment
  • Including heavy items
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
  • Full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
