Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals in cardiac neuro stepdown settings using evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to prioritize patient needs. Provide accurate documentation, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, and collaborate with physicians, families, and support staff to develop individualized care plans. Maintain BLS certification and utilize critical thinking skills to address physical, social, and psychological status. Requires current state RN license, BSN degree, and ability to ambulate patients, operate monitors, and perform manual tasks in a busy hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
