Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac neuro stepdown patients using the nursing process, technology, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and collaboration, setting priorities to coordinate delivery while managing time, supplies, and resources. Provide or delegate care consistent with guidelines and licensure, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaboratively develop individualized plans of care involving patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Maintain BLS certification and adhere to physical requirements for patient transfers and equipment manipulation.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
