Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients using the nursing process, technology, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration while setting priorities to manage time, supplies, and resources. Collaboratively develop individualized plans of care involving patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed. Provide accurate and timely documentation while adhering to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Requires a current Registered Nurse license, BLS certification, and a BSN degree. Located at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with 36 weekly hours and an hourly range of $37.45 to $57.29.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
