Registered Nurse, Cardiac Medicine Stepdown, Night Shift - VUH

Conduct night shift care for adult patients recovering from cardiovascular events, including STEMIs, heart failure exacerbations, and post-operative cardiothoracic surgeries. Apply the nursing process to analyze patient data, establish care plans, and implement interventions while promoting a safe environment. Coordinate care delivery across the continuum, communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team, and provide patient education on practical applications. Evaluate progress toward goals and anticipate resource needs to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Work on the 24-bed 8 South Cardiology Stepdown Unit with a minimum weekend requirement of four shifts per six-week schedule.
