Job Summary

Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients while delivering nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Coordinate and delegate patient activities to inter-professional colleagues, update records, and interpret computerized data. Follow BMC guidelines, assist leadership with quality improvement projects, and manage STEMI response protocols. Requires 3-5 years of interventional cath lab experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring. Must live within 30 minutes for weekend and weeknight call rotations.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN Massachusetts license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • 3-5 years previous Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience
  • Must live within 30 minutes for call requirement
  • Weekend and weeknight Call requirement
  • Procedural sedation experience
  • Proficient with Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
  • STEMI Response experience
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Experience with TEE and cardioversions
  • Experience with Intra-aortic Balloon pumps
  • Experience with Impella's
  • Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required

Desired Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
  • Previous Critical Care experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Experience with XPER
