Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients while delivering nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Coordinate and delegate patient activities to inter-professional colleagues, update records, and interpret computerized data. Follow BMC guidelines, assist leadership with quality improvement projects, and manage STEMI response protocols. Requires 3-5 years of interventional cath lab experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring. Must live within 30 minutes for weekend and weeknight call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN Massachusetts license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- 3-5 years previous Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience
- Must live within 30 minutes for call requirement
- Weekend and weeknight Call requirement
- Procedural sedation experience
- Proficient with Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- STEMI Response experience
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Experience with TEE and cardioversions
- Experience with Intra-aortic Balloon pumps
- Experience with Impella's
- Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required
Desired Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
- Previous Critical Care experience
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with XPER
