Job Summary
Provide direct patient care during cardiac catheterization and related procedures, including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, device implantation support, vascular procedures, and emergency STEMI response. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to perform assessments, administer medications, monitor sedation, and manage patient response while ensuring safety. Formulate individualized care plans, document nursing care accurately, and educate patients and families on procedures and recovery. Assist in orientation and competency development of staff. Requires current NC RN license, one year of Cath Lab experience, ACLS and BLS certification, and ability to work in a stressful environment. Day shift schedule at Rutherford Regional Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse to practice/work in the state of NC
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- 1 recent year of Cath Lab RN experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to respond to and perform effectively in emergent situations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Preferred experience in multiple Cath Roles, such as circulator, scrub tech, and/or monitoring
