Job Summary
Assess, document, and lead interventions for patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, utilizing the nursing process to formulate and implement comprehensive, patient-centered care plans. Coordinate unit activities to improve throughput efficiencies and metrics while evaluating patient progress against expected outcomes. Educate patients and families on health status and care plans, utilizing EHR tools to document learning outcomes and modify interventions based on variations in progress. Comply with NY State Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, analyze delegation practices, and serve as a preceptor for nursing staff and students. Lead unit projects and practice councils to drive quality and safety improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
- Basic Life Support Cert
- Registered Nurse License-NYS

- 2 Years of ICU Experience
- Membership in pertinent professional organizations
