Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care

Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive nursing care for cardiac telemetry and post-procedural patients recovering from open heart surgery, catheterization, ablations, and acute stroke or STEMI events. Monitor patient status, recognize acute changes in cardiac and neurological conditions, and administer medications per physician orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans and educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and recovery. Maintain accurate clinical documentation while adhering to ANA Standards of Practice and state Nursing Practice Act guidelines. Participate in continuous learning and professional development in advanced cardiac care. Requires one year of acute cardiac experience, Missouri RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Full-time day and night shifts with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of acute care Cardiac Care or similar RN experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Missouri Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Basic computer proficiency
