Job Summary
Provide nursing care to wound care patients as directed by the provider, performing patient access functions, admitting patients with vitals, and assisting with procedure setup. Manage clinic areas by preparing spaces for patient care at shift start and securing them nightly, while maintaining medical supply and medication inventory. Register patients, enter data into the Health Information system, and scan insurance cards. Complete patient care assignments, report findings, and discharge patients with prescriptions and instructions. Utilize EPIC for record retrieval and data entry, and schedule surgeries or referrals as ordered.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the State of Indiana.
- Has general knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Has been educated in basic pharmacology and the administration of medications.
- CPR provider certification within 1 month.
- Experience working in a Wound office is a plus.
