Job Summary
Registered Nurse (BSN) coordinating patient flow across the behavioral health continuum from admission to discharge, focusing on reducing delays, optimizing bed utilization, and ensuring safe transitions of care. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, external facilities, and support services to facilitate appropriate placement and continuity of care. Responsibilities include maintaining professional knowledge, ensuring quality of care, infection control, medication administration, documentation, communication across teams, and providing patient-centered care while supporting bed management, throughput metrics, and care coordination. Requires BSN, PA RN licensure, and 1–2 years of behavioral health nursing experience; BLS certification; Act 33/34 and FBI clearance renewals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN)
- One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
