Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Neuroscience Med/Surg (Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, TN) provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) with an emphasis on patient/family-centered care. Responsibilities include communicating and coordinating with the healthcare team, developing and updating care plans, ensuring patient safety, advocating for patients, and supporting discharge planning. Requires licensure as an RN (multistate license preferred) and at least one year of RN experience; associates degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. May require weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts. Essential skills include evidence-based practice, documentation, collaboration, data collection and assessment, and adherence to regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, SC DPH).
Required Qualifications
- Education - Associate degree in Nursing
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes
- Bachelor's degree preferred (for consideration)
