Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in an acute inpatient neuroscience med-surg setting, performing assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and coordinating interdisciplinary team activities. Monitor patient status, validate goals and outcomes, and provide education to patients and families while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards. Document progress, complete performance improvement audits, and utilize appropriate technology to support clinical decision-making. This role requires a current RN license, one year of experience, or completion of the Nurse Residency Program, with a day shift schedule including potential weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
