Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility by conducting medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing while managing informed consent and confidential self-exclusion. Evaluate donor reactions and adverse events, review laboratory results including Serological Protein Electrophoresis, and coordinate donor transport for medical emergencies. Support environmental, health, and safety protocols, manage employee incidents, and assist with Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and follow established SOPs for medical emergencies and technical guidance. This role contributes to the collection of high-quality plasma for life-changing medicines at a BioLife Plasma Services center in Las Vegas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- Bilingual Spanish
