Job Summary
Registered Nurse role based in Blackwater, Queensland focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care. Deliver culturally appropriate services, preventative care, and health education to the community; support diabetes management; engage in community outreach and stakeholder collaboration; uphold immunisation, CPR/First Aid, Blue Card, and police-check requirements; operate Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM; work within a supportive community-health environment; multi-disciplinary teamwork and independent task prioritisation are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
- Immunisation requirements – vaccinated against specified diseases
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue Card - essential
- Satisfactory Police Check – essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of diabetes management or strong interest in supporting people living with diabetes
- Demonstrated knowledge of delivering culturally appropriate services
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
