Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health Unit on a full-time daytime schedule. Responsibilities include direct patient care for adult and elderly psychiatric patients, coordination of care using the nursing process, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, adherence to standards of practice and hospital policies, documentation, patient education, and ensuring a therapeutic milieu. Requires AIDET-based communication, HIPAA compliance, ability to handle stressful situations, and collaboration with the health care team. Minimum 1 year in acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred; bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Salary range based on base rate with overtime potential; weekend availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- 1 year experience in acute psychiatric inpatient setting (minimum)
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and practices
- Ability to work under moderate stress
