Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health stationed at MO-SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Wentzville provides direct patient care for behavioral health patients. Responsibilities include admitting and shift assessments, analyzing patient data and notifying physicians of changes, contributing to multidisciplinary treatment plans, documenting nursing care in the EHR, implementing physician orders, ensuring patient/environment safety, supervising LPNs and techs, and educating patients and families. Applies evidence-based nursing practice per department scope and the ANA Code of Ethics; adheres to nursing standards and ministry policies. PRN schedule with 7a-7:30p or 7:00p-7:30a shifts; benefits include health insurance options and parental leave. Requires nursing degree and active Missouri RN license with BLS HCP.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- State of Work Location: Missouri Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or RN issued by Compact State
