Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health Services, you will plan, provide, and supervise nursing care for patients while coordinating with caregivers and adhering to infection control policies. Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting patient education, and recognizing signs of abuse. You'll assist the medical director with patient rounds and conduct assessments and therapeutic counseling for chemically dependent clients. Qualifications include a current Ohio RN license and either an ADN or BSN, with CPR and phlebotomy training to be completed post-employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN License
- ADN or BSN
- CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
- Phlebotomy classes within 90 days of employment departmental provided training
- Aggression Management System within six months of employment
- Must be licensed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board with a minimum of a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant certification within 6 months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to provide patient care in a warm and friendly manner
- Demonstrated knowledge base of chemical dependency/addiction to educate clients, families and community
- Excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate working with various multidisciplinary team members and community agencies
