Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health - PRN Day Shift

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, administer medications per protocol, and monitor behavioral and medical changes in patients. Utilize verbal de-escalation and therapeutic interventions for dangerous situations while demonstrating knowledge of seclusion and restraint standards. Educate patients on diagnoses and treatments, perform lab draws and wound care, and float among various clinical services as needed. Document all pertinent information and patient care in a timely manner per facility protocol, participate in treatment planning, and complete assigned trainings. Work in a crisis setting with children, adolescents, and adults on a PRN day shift (7A-7:30P) in Mesa, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License – Unrestricted, issued by the Arizona Board of Nursing
- At least 1 year of psychiatric, behavioral health, or crisis care experience
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working in a crisis environment with diverse patient populations
- Experience working with children & adolescents in a behavioral health setting
- Proficiency with EMRs and psychiatric documentation
