Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Inpatient Float

Deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, implementing service standards appropriate to patient ages and clinical areas. Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu by fostering awareness of the Behavioral Health Services population and using a non-threatening, non-judgmental approach. Conduct systematic assessments to formulate individualized plans of care, demonstrate critical thinking in prioritization and evaluation, and document all interventions per policy. Identify changes in patient conditions, institute appropriate interventions, and refer to BHS providers as needed. Implement measures to meet individualized learning needs for patients and significant others while serving as a patient advocate and ensuring confidentiality. Collaborate with other health care disciplines to coordinate patient care activities and discharge plans.
