Job Summary
Conduct inpatient behavioral health nursing care for acutely ill patients, managing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation. Develop individualized care plans, coordinate delivery of services, and direct assistant utilization while collaborating with physicians, families, and ancillary staff. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, document progress in health records, and utilize evidence-based research to guide practice decisions. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects to support organizational goals. Shifts run full-time nights (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends. A BSN is required, with an ADN acceptable if committed to obtaining the degree within three years.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- Background Check authorization and disclosure form completion
