Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (Behavioral Health) on a 24-hour schedule (7:00p-7:30a) providing direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. Responsibilities include patient assessment/reassessment, developing and coordinating plans of care including discharge planning, directing and evaluating nursing care, delegation where appropriate, accurate documentation, administering medications and therapies, assisting physicians, and participating in quality improvement and governance activities. Requires current Massachusetts nursing licensure/registration and BLS (ACLS required in select areas). Preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.
