Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric crisis intervention, run therapeutic groups, and administer treatment and medications to patients in behavioral health settings. Record medical histories, analyze diagnostic test results, and operate medical machinery while providing emotional support and education on illness management, diet, exercise, and self-medication administration. Assist with patient follow-up, rehabilitation, and seclusion or restraint procedures as needed. Work nights in a part-time role (over 59 hours) at Saint Clare's Health, a CMS 5-Star rated provider serving Morris, Warren, and Sussex counties.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
