Job Summary
Coordinate daily behavioral health interventions in the ED and inpatient BERT roles, managing acute psychiatric crises and ensuring prompt follow-up across Rochester Methodist and St. Marys campuses. Deliver direct patient care, education, and transition support within a primary nursing model, utilizing group therapy, pharmacology, and ECT while leading interdisciplinary teams. Account for nursing care planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients, including delegation based on acuity and skill level. Provide leadership through preceptorship and quality improvement efforts. This role supports the 25-bed Generose 2E unit for brief crisis and longer stays for disorders including depression, psychosis, and substance abuse.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- state licensure
- completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification
- eligibility for TN sponsorship
