Job Summary
The RN partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee care for individuals served, traveling to homes to provide medication management, medical treatment needs, education, and support to Direct Service Providers. Responsibilities include infection monitoring, vaccination administration, initial and ongoing health assessments, coordination with physicians and psychiatrists, DEA-compliant handling of controlled substances, medical policy input, staff education on medical equipment and health procedures, participation in medical on-call rotation, care planning assistance, and collaboration during inspections or accreditation reviews. Travel locally to BSLS locations is required; strong communication, de-escalation, and computer skills are essential. Must hold an RN license with at least two years of preferred experience; driver’s license and background check are required; English proficiency and state/federal approvals to work within BSLS programs are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- minimum of two (2) years previous experience preferred
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Proficient in English
- Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs
- Ability to use office equipment and BSLS IT systems
