Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned hospital unit while carrying out provider orders and completing comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift. Conduct bedside shift reports, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding to ensure continuity and safe care. Identify and assist in correcting patient care safety issues, participate in daily unit-based safety huddles, and actively engage in quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Collaborate with team members, precept new nurses, and delegate care activities effectively. Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications, complete required dysrhythmia and CPI courses, and avoid unauthorized overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire RN license
- Basic Life Support certification
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred
