Job Summary
Provide highly skilled patient-focused care to respiratory, high-intensity, and medical patients within the B4/B4ICU unit. Function collaboratively in a primary nursing environment as part of a multidisciplinary team, actively demonstrating effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Integrate research findings into practice, pursue education opportunities, and participate in unit activities. Maintain excellent patient assessment skills and demonstrate a commitment to person-centred care principles while complying with safety policies. Successfully complete the departmental quiz with a minimum passing score of 80%. This temporary full-time role requires a current B.Sc.N. and Critical Care Certificate Level II.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Current B.C.L.S.
- Critical Care Certificate Level II, required from accredited recognized institution
- Successful completion of departmental quiz with passing score of minimum 80%
- Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred care approaches and principles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to set priorities in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Excellent patient assessment skills
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all
- Commitment to person-centred care concepts principles along with demonstrated ability to work as a member of an inter-professional team
- Good attendance record
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc.N. preferred
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred
