Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions while administering medications and treatments according to safety protocols. Manage wound care and telemetry monitoring to detect and respond to changes in patient status. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care. Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and experience in direct patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and practices
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, English major preferred
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care specialization
- Previous work experience in a ambulatory surgery center or acute care environment
- Pediatric nursing skills
